Research area of beam physics, condensed matter physics, or materials science. Specifically, dedicate effort to the following tasks.

  • Development of new time-resolved transmission electron microscope
  • Time-resolved structural analysis in nano-microscopy

Employment status

Term Appointment (Full-time) until March 31, 2027. (Possibly extend up to March 31, 2031)

*The appointment is renewable based on workload, work performance, attitude, ability, management situation of the corporation, progress of work engaged in, continuity of the project, budget situation, etc. at the time of expiration of the contract.

*Final employment age is up to the end of fiscal year (March 31) when candidate fulfilled age reaches 65.

Trial period: 6 months from the date of employment

Qualifications

Doctoral degree or equivalent research expertise

Applicants should have skills and experience in at least one of the following: laser technology, ultra-high vacuum, beam physics, or transmission electron microscopy.

We expect the applicant to have interests in physical properties in nanostructured materials, quantum beam science, semiconductors, or optical properties in material.

The candidate for this position will have ability to collaborate with researchers in above these fields to promote joint research projects.

Working hours: 38.75 hours per week with discretionary work hours

Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, Japanese National Holidays,

and year-end holidays (from December29 to January 3 every year)

Insurance: MEXT mutual union, unemployment insurance and occupational injury insurance

Passive smoking prevention measures: Smoking is prohibited on campus in principle.
