The magnification of the electron microscope

Although the optical microscope enables us to observe the wavelength of light, which is about 0.2μm(=200nm), the electron microscope , which uses an electron beam less than 1/00,000 of the wavelength of light, has a resolution about 1,000 times higher than the optical microscope, and enables us to see atoms as small as 0.1 nm.
